Jacquie formed Marketwise Strategies in 2000 and has been the driving force behind its development.  Jacquie has particular interests in new product/service development and in issues of organization culture, structure and information flows and the implications that these have for marketing implementation.

Her background spans higher education, business support and consultancy, social enterprise, and human resource development.

Previously Jacquie was Assistant Director (Business Development) at a North East university and Head of Services to Business at a university campus in the North West. She combined that role with teaching marketing strategy / management and market research at undergraduate and postgraduate levels including MBA.

Her early work, in the 1980s, within the engineering industry gave her an affinity with manufacturing and technical products and markets. She then went on to roles in consultancy and business support, helping over 200 companies to improve their marketing and develop effective strategies and plans.

In the 1990s Jacquie achieved success as a freelance business journalist and pioneered some of the UK’s first business training courses in e-marketing. She maintains a strong interest in digital-related markets, reflected in many of the contracts that Marketwise Strategies delivers.

At Marketwise Strategies Jacquie has overall responsibility for diagnosing clients’ marketing and research requirements, ensuring that appropriate and cost-effective methodologies are developed and delivered and that clients’ needs are central to all that we do.

Jacquie also holds a First Class Honours degree in Business Studies and a Masters degree in Marketing.

She has held committee roles in the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Chartered Management Institute and Young Enterprise. She has also been a Board Member of Service Network, the representative body for the professional services sector in North East England.
